KOSHERA

Terms of Use

Last updated: July 6, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Koshera mobile application (the "App"), operated by Obzena ("we", "us", "our"), located in Sheridan, Wyoming, United States. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What Koshera is — and is not

Koshera is an AI-powered kosher checker. It analyzes photos of a product label you provide and returns an AI-generated read on the item's likely kosher status, based on the certification and ingredients it can identify and the standards you select.

Important: Koshera does not issue kosher certification and does not provide a rabbinic or halachic ruling. Results are informational guidance only and may be incomplete or wrong, especially from limited or unclear photos, or when a label changes. Do not rely on Koshera as the sole basis for deciding whether a product is kosher. Always check the actual certification (hechsher) on the product and consult a qualified rabbinic authority when it matters.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) and able to form a binding agreement to use the App.

3. Subscriptions, purchases and billing

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including: using it for unlawful purposes; attempting to bypass security, access controls, or usage limits; reverse-engineering or interfering with the service; or submitting content you have no right to submit. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access for misuse.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the photos you submit. You grant us a limited license to process those photos solely to provide the analysis you request, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any photo you upload.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its content, and its branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or to the names or marks of third parties (including kosher certification agencies) referenced in the App.

7. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services (including Apple, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, and OpenAI) to function. Your use of the App may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that results will be accurate, complete, or reliable, or that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. Kosher determinations are ultimately a matter for the product's certifying agency and competent rabbinic authorities.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS arising from your reliance on the App's results or from any decision you make about whether a product is kosher. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes to the App and Terms

We may modify or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
